Appointments

Appointments are reserved in precise time increments to ensure an efficient and seamless experience for every guest.

All scheduling is easily accessible through the online booking system. This provides real-time availability and ensures accuracy.

Appointments may be scheduled in studio at checkout, if the client chooses too. After that, all future scheduling and appointment adjustments is completed online.

Deposits

Every booking requires a $15 non-refundable deposit, applied toward your service total.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Changes must be made online by 6 PM the day before your appointment. If you reschedule by then, your deposit(s) carry forward to the new appointment. 

Late Arrivals, Same-Day Changes & No-Shows

Please contact us via text message or call as soon as possible. Cancellations, reschedules, no-shows, or late arrivals that we’re unable to accommodate, will result in forfeiture of the $15 deposit. You’re welcome to rebook online with a new deposit.

New clients must complete the waxing consent form prior to arrival. Appointments may be delayed if required forms are incomplete.

Medications That May Prevent Waxing

Certain medications can make the skin more sensitive or fragile and may increase the risk of irritation or skin lifting during waxing. Please review the medications in the FAQ section and inform your provider if any apply to you.

Facial Medications

Any medications or topical treatments used on the face must be discontinued prior to facial waxing, even if they are applied to a different area than the one being waxed. Many facial medications affect the skin as a whole and may increase sensitivity or the risk of irritation during waxing.

Please discontinue any retinol products for 7–10 days. 

These medications may thin or sensitize the skin and increase the risk of irritation or skin lifting during waxing.

Important:

If you are unsure whether your medication may affect waxing services, please consult your prescribing provider or inform your esthetician prior to your appointment.

Your provider may modify or postpone a waxing service if the skin is not suitable for safe treatment.

Minor Client Policy

To maintain professional boundaries and ensure the highest level of care, intimate waxing services are offered only to female clients 18 years and older.

This includes bikini front, brazilian, backside cheeks, backside strip. 

Clients under 18 are welcome to book facial or underarm waxing services with a signed parent or guardian consent form.

Menstruation policy

You can still wax if you are menstrating. We ask that you please have a clean tampon or vaginal cup inserted. 

We understand that not everyone is comfortable with waxing during this time but please be as mindful as possible and plan accordingly.

Emergencies

We understand that emergencies happen. If a true emergency has occured please call or text us. If a pattern or reoccurring cancellations occurs, know that the service provider has the right to discontinue the business relationship at any time.

YES. There are medications that you may not be able to wax with or must discontinue up to 7 - 10 days before waxing. Prior to your appointment there will be a full list of medications that can alter your waxing experience. The top medication that you CANNOT wax on or at least 12 months after discontinuing is Accutane. This medication affects the blood stream therefore one cannot get any body part waxed when on the medication and 12 months after discontinuing.

Here are some of the top medications/creams that one must stop 7-10 days prior to for facial waxing: Retin-A, Different, Epiduo, Tretinoin, and Clindamycin. This not a full list but the most common medications/creams.

If you are undergoing Chemotherapy or radiation treatments, you are unable to wax untill you are cleared from your medical provider.

Although we cannot wax you, a great option is for me to tweeze and trim your eyebrows. I promise to do my best to make it look just as clean as waxing!

Yes. Exfoliation will help remove any dead skin cells and help prepare your skin for the wax. Do not exfoliate the day of your appointment. Use whatever products you may have at home and when you come in for your appointment I will educate you on what products will work best for your skin type.

It is also said that you can take Advil before your wax. I personally believe that Advil is not necessary because of my technique and speed. I promise you will feel extremely comfortable during your appointment.

Its best to have the hair the length of a grain of rice. If you can wait 7-14 days after shaving, that is ideal. The longer you wait the better the wax will be, so no trimming is necessary.

It is recommended NO spray tanning, tanning or sun the day of your wax before or after. Wait till the next day to spray tan or the day prior to your wax.

I always recommend to work out prior to your waxing appointment rather then after. When I wax, I will be opening the pore and when you work out, your are inviting bacteria into the pore and are at a greater chance for breakouts and ingrown hairs.

At Lizzy Lou's Waxing, you must be at least 18 years old to receive any waxing services. If you are under 18, your parent/ legal guardian will fill out the minor release section on the waxing consent form that you will fill out upon making your first appointment. Please note that Lizzy Lou's Waxing will not perform bikini front, brazilian, or butt full/strip services services for minors. However, we can perform the bikini line service.
